(LUqman:12)

My drawing..eh?

Last week, all Easa batch4 members have drawing project conducted by our lecturer, en. Samsuddin. What we do is draw or sketch the object in 3 different views, plan(top), rear and side of the object. At first, I'm become neglected when be given tools for drawing like t ruler, triangle ruler; 45 n 30 degree and a board for sketching. Something that makes me go through that way is Hj. Sam doesn't tech us on how to draw that thing. Em, I'm really not get used to it. Actually, I doesn't have any basics on that drawing. But with the proper help and tutor one of my friend, Amar, I able to draw it in proper way. My drawing is not that smooth but enough to say, it's okay to pass up to Hj. Sam. Better finish things up, will ya?

Alhamdulillah, done already...

Metal Solid-Masya'Allah, so tough!

On 1st February( Monday till Friday), we batch 4 together have metal workshop. Our task is make the metal into shaped design by following the sketching provided by our lecturer, Samsudin or Haji. Sam. I could say this is the toughness work I ever had. Really makes me become inpatient sometimes.

Metal that being cut by using the handsaw. It takes almost 45 minutes non stop to have cut it perfectly. That what we do to cut it in 90 degrees. How about cut this solid metal 45 degrees? Really inpatient !
Hanifa: no need to cut..... karate ma!

Metal wokshop

Last thursday, we have entered the metal metal workshop situated behind our class. Our lecturer, en. Samsudin is the person that responsible to manage the workshop on that day. The task that we do is cut the metal, measure and reshaped it through the following diagram on the work sheet. Personally, I could say, I really amazed. Most of the thing that we learn in the classroom applied on that training such as use the pneumatic drill, right and left hand sissors, table drill, file etc. The last thing that we done on that metal is clean the metal surface with the sand paper. The reason, to make the metal surface become smooth and pretty cool.

Cutter that we used
Dividers: used to measuring the irregular lines. Sometimes we use it to make circle . Hand nibbler: how to us it? exactly, it acts like a punches or dies.
This metal sheet, 2024 Al-Alloy that has been drilling by using the pneumatic drill and table drill.

Last finishing: using the sand paper.

Altimeter on action

Last Monday, we batch 4 student have a class conducted by Mej. B Abu Bakar. During his teachings, everything is just as being thought recently, bored. Bored because of not have any idea to ask for or questioned except for Hanifah n Azlan. They both stayed at the front and keep always asked to Major for the topic on that day. That time we have discussion on altimeter. Suddenly, he rush out and told us " I'll get u the altimeter so u can understand perfectly". A couple of minutes then he enter the classroom and bring 2 things, one is bulky altimeter and another is the interior gear that generates the indicator of the altimeter.

As already know , altimeter is used for measure the altitude of an object above fixed level. Inside it, as you can see, an aneroid barometer measures the atmospheric pressure from a static port outside the aircraft

This picture show to us the true view of aneroid barometer, couple with the gears and also springs.

By look further through wikipedia, the altimeter itself is calibrated to show the pressure directly as an altitude above mean sea level, in accordance with a mathematical model defined by the International Standard Atmosphere (ISA).
Nice. Really made from brass, I think.
The smallest pointer on the scale reading used as the scale adjustment knob turns out at specific value, usually done by the pilot. The other pointer, the longer one, used to read hundredth to thousandth feet. The shorter pointer is pointed when readings have to showed thousandth to ten times thousand feet above, ( measured from mean sea level)

Do you think u know all about an airplane?

Funny isn't it? That is what does by the Kulala Air, the low fare airlines from South Africa. Seems to me, they put much concern on how to make their airlines coolest and most memorable to the passenger. Not only to the passenger but workers also can have managing their tasks efficiently..why not? every parts have the description...

The letter or descriptions of parts that can be found on that aircraft body are:

* galley (cuppa anyone?)
* avionics (fancy navigation stuff)
* windows (best view in the world)
* wing #1 and #2
* engine #1 and #2 (26 000 pounds of thrust)
* emergency exit = throne zone (more leg room baby!)
* seats (better than taxi seats)
* some windows = kulula fans (the coolest peeps in the world)
* black box (which is actually orange)
* landing gear (comes standard with supa-fly mags)
* back door (no bribery/corruption here)
* tail (featuring an awesome logo)
* loo (or mile-high club initiation chamber)
* rudder (the steering thingy)
* stabiliser (the other steering thingy)
* a.p.u. (extra power when you need it most)
* galley (food, food, food, food…)
* boot space
* ZS-ZWP (OK-PIK) = secret agent code (aka plane’s registration)
* overhead cabins (VIP seating for your hand luggage)
* fuel tanks (the go-go juice)
* cargo door
* aircon ducts (not that kulula needs it… they’re already cool)
* front door (our door is always open … unless we’re at 41 000 feet)
* cockpit window = sun roof
* nose cone (radar, antenna, and a really big dish inside)
